The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, has suspended the rally of a faction of the All Progressives Congress scheduled for Benin, Edo State, on Friday.

The faction is loyal to the National Chairman of the party, Mr Adams Oshiomhole.

The IG’s letter suspending the rally was communicated to the Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Philip Shuaibu, about one hour ago.

The deputy governor showed a copy of the letter to reporters in Abuja.

I read a letter here during the day confirming that the IGP had approved the deployment of his men for the rally.

Seun please check the dates of the two letters, the letter suspending the event is the most recent, dated 12/12/19

There is an executive Governor of that state who happen to be elected on the platform of that same party you want to hold rally for another individual you think will succeed him and you think it will stand.


Oshiomole has entered one chance with Obaseki, Obaseki is stubborn even though look quiet, he is going to give Osho a run for his money .


Something tells me this is the last straw that will break the camel's back.. If Oshio does not take it easy he is going to go down ..this is Oba of Bini's town called Edo state and we run things in a different way HERE.
