Entrepreneurship is a big responsibility. It’s easy to think of an idea, but to make your idea sustainable in the market, you have to be continuous in your efforts. Your idea might fail twice or thrice but learning from the mistakes will make you one step closer to your goal. The reason why Israel is called the startup nation is that when they have an idea, their government provides them with all the required resources to fulfil it. They only need the right idea and once they like it, they will help you to launch it.

And if your startup idea fails, they will encourage you to go for the second. So, the clutter of mistakes makes them prepared for the second. So, keeping all the errors in mind, if you have an app idea, avoid these mistakes to make it successful.

1. Rushing to the Development Phase

Most entrepreneurs commit a mistake by working right after the idea clicks their mind which is wrong. You can end up with a successful app later but you won’t get the response on your idea. When you have an idea, spend the initial days in digging the insights about the idea. For example, collecting customer’s data, researching the market trends, the scope of the idea and planning the resources you’d be needing to implement the idea.

If you hurry to the development phase, you’ll end up regretting when you won’t receive customer’s engagement on your app. Your idea will become when you’re driven by the customer’s direction and decision. You also need to find the customer’s pain points so you can address them with your app. It’s the first key to developing a successful app.

The verdict: Always know your target audience before you start implementing your idea.

2. Adding Too Much

The major reason why your mobile app ideas fail that you expect perfection in the first version which is a bad practice. The first version of the app is supposed to have the basic features which fulfills the objectives of the app. If you add too much features and functionalities in the app, you’ll end up investing a lot in the first version.

So, the solution is to limit your app to the basic features and work to evolve it later. By launching the MVP of your app, you’ll get an idea of what your customers are looking for the most. Keeping their actions in mind, you can update your app after some time. In the initial phase, focus on the features that delight your customers even it’s two or three features only. If they are convinced with the few features, they will desperately wait for the next features.

The verdict: In the first version, stick with the basic features of the app and make sure the basics are perfect.

3. Promoting Later

Every business indeed builds an app to generate revenue but you can’t expect your app to generate money in the first stage, especially when you don’t promote it. If you manage to build awareness of your app before the end product, you will have the possibility of generating leads through it.
Now, when there a range of marketing platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, there’s no reason for resisting the app promotion. You can create video teasers, create slides, draw illustrations or create hype on social media. The purpose is to introduce your app online. This strategy will also help to improve your app by learning from the audience's actions on the promotions.

The verdict: When the idea clicks to your mind, begin the promotion by creating teasers or introductory posts.

4. Hiring Resources Early

Similar to promoting your app later, it’s also not a good practice to hire the resources before the time. It will only kill the cost. So, always look over your business model and hire the mobile app developers Toronto which are only required at the moment.

Since, your startup is not stable yet, so only hire people who you need to develop your app and then later proceed to evolve your business model with more hiring.

The verdict: Hire the talent, that you need to build your app only.

That’s smart! But how do you keep people engaged with just the skateboard if there are comparable apps that already have all the features? There are numerous approaches to marketing for startups. You will advertise your startup in both the physical and digital markets. For these reasons, startups have different teams.
