Zanza made his name at Canada 87, he was equally part of the 89 squad as forward.. I believe Saudi 89 was an under 21 youth tournament...Nigeria lost the final to USSR (now Russia) in 87, but he won the golden ball as the best player of the tournament..A skilled performer who was tipped for greater things by non other than the great Pele, unfortunately he didn't quite make it in Belgium.. He was quite young and faced serious competition amongst technically gifted ballers at Anderlecht ( one of the too European clubs back in those days)..

He was said to have felt unwell at work and decided to visit the hospital where he subsequently died. Osondu played regularly for the youth teams of Nigeria, but never reached the first team.

In 1987 he participated in the World U-16 tournament in Canada. Nigeria reached the final, but then lost on penalties to the Soviet Union. He got the World Cup Golden Ball as best player of the tournament.

Even more worrying is that a Man who "walked himself to the hospital UNAIDED" (No Ambulance, No Stretchers, etc) just DIED IN THE HANDS OF DOCTORS!

And their is no investigation or Autopsy into the cause of death?
If he was "white", the health Services will be scrambling to unravel what happened between his arrival at the hospital and death.
And even Nigerian Govt will keep mute like their 'mutted" Jibrin, not asking to be adviced of what went wrong, afteral, he is a Nigerian and we dont value lives around here.
