Cigarette contains nicotine and methane which obviously kills. It has led death of millions globally on annual bases, and unfortunately, even thousands have died as a result of secondhand smoke exposure..that means, even a non-smoker is " liable to die young" when exposed to a smoker.

Despite these facts, cigarette is still legal. Isn't it hypocritical to make weed and other hard drugs illegal while cigarette remains a menace flexing freely in the society?

The fact is tobacco is a white man produce which they made it so to be sold to the world making it legal. Weed is a coloured man produce so the white govt controlled the inflow and outflow as well putting a ban on it making it illegal. They also know that weed is a plant and it is medicinal but they play ignorance. Tobacco kills ,it kills alot compared to weed.. if you can see in the past few years, they are beginning to accept weed for Individuals to smoke but they are trying to ensure that the white elite have control over the market using a system that works for them.
