The screen is totally black and a message says 'disk error, please enter any key to continue'. This happened when i was trying to install Windows 10 from an external USB pen drive.

change your hard drive

You'd better use another drive,if you are going to install Windows 10,you can follow the Microsoft tutorial,Google it.
