The disagreement between the Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, and the senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Prof Ajayi Boroffice, is over as there is an indication that the senator is now supporting the automatic second term ticket for the governor.

Boroffice’s media aide, Kayode Fakuyi, who spoke for the senator, said the report that Akeredolu and Boroffice had resolved their differences and that the senator had supported the governor to secure an automatic ticket of the All Progressives Congress ahead of next year’s governorship election in the state is nothing but the truth.

He said, “I wish to confirm that there is pact between Prof Boroffice and Governor Akeredolu. “Again, I reiterate that Prof Boroffice has preferred aspirant for the 2020 governorship candidacy of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State which is the governor of the state who has made us proud.

“I urge associates and supporters of Prof Boroffice to ignore the cheap lies emanating from some quarters that there is problems between our senator Ajayi Borroffice and our dear governor Akeredolu..

However, the chairman of the APC in the state, Mr Ade Adetimehin, said the state governor deserves to be given the second term ticket of the party in 2020, stating that the Akeredolu-led administration had performed well in the state.

This is definitely a story I believe, instead some desperate people are saying otherwise. Governor Akeredolu and Sen. Borroffice are men of honour and don't put emotiins before professionalism.
