Oga commissioner as a member of this Lagos state govment you should hide your head in shame.
The major cause of traffic gridlock in Lagos is the bad, pothole or rather gully infested roads. Event centers and places of worship are secondary. Besides centers are only busy on weekends.
You have the guts to say you will fine event centers or close them down? You cannot fix the roads instead you are finding who to blame for your incompetence and as usual "raise revenue"
Who will fine you for the bad roads?

I think there should be parking restrictions,,, to solve the problem. and people should hold party at a convenient large area

Prelude to sanity. It is unacceptable to block the roads for any reason other than an emergency. They should extend the law to redeem delusional camp on Lagos-Ibadan Appian way.

Delusional? I am sure you and your type support the negative things the present regime is doing, simply because of your hatred for Christianity. The development and sanity in Redemption Camp is at a level no Nigerian government has ever dreamt of. I need you to understand that life doesn't end here. Put your affairs in order. Judgment Day comes unannounced. And I am convinced you will be silent when you finally stand before God. Give your life to Jesus now.

I feel the churches are the biggest offenders with a certain church on Lagos Ibadan expressway the biggest of all culprits. Shame the law is limited to Lagos alone.

It's like a Konga for students to sell to each other in school and students in other schools around them.

Since they know the fine fees, a smart event centre will just add the fine to the total amount of rent and pay the fine upfront then comfortably cause gridlock........... Mumu commissioner........ Instead of permanent closure he's talking about fine

There is nothing sane about causing preventable gridlocks for travellers that are going about their businesses.

That is the government's failure and shame for allowing petrol to be scarce in a country that boasts of being the 7th largest producers of crude oil in the world.

This particular lekki traffic jam wasn't bad roads. There's no pothole in Lekki expressway. At least I drive from New road to the mainland to and fro everyday.

The cause of Saturday traffic was event centers and impatience of users.

Very good move. You can't obstruct the movement of people because of a ceremony. This is one of the things that made me like Rotimi Amaechi when he was the governor of Rivers State. He told Ikwerre people never to block any road during ceremonies.
