Water is no respecter of class. An exotic Mercedes-Benz C-Class got caught up in the flood ravaging some parts of South Africa.

A video circulating online shows the white fancy ride floating on water like a piece of paper. The ease at which the car floats shows the depth of the water. It continues moving downwards until it meets a fence made of iron. That should be a good thing for the owner as the water did not make the car go missing.

The C-Class has an estimated market price of $41,400. That is a lot of money to lose to flood. We are hoping that the owner got the car covered with insurance so that he/she will be compensated for any damage resulting from the flood.

The heavy flood continues to hit the country’s capital Pretoria, Centurion and Midrand. The incident took place in Centurion where a rescue team is working tirelessly to reduce the effect of the flood, and get victims to safety.

No fewer than 700 houses were reportedly consumed by the flood around Pretoria. The whole of South Africa is suffering electricity blackout due to the effects of the flood on their power supply.

We hope that the situation is contained to prevent further damages.
