Those in the north are enjoying the uninterrupted nepotism displayed by buhari.

From taking control of all security agencies to judiciary, customs, anticorruption etc. Shutting down the border for northern rice farmers to make more profits.

They know the south is not happy, but its benefiting the north. Towards the end of Buhari's tenure it will be like they it was all a dream. They cant stand a southern president display such nepotism against the north. So they will first need another northern president that will mend the relationship with the south. To ensure the south does not retaliate once they get power.

So 2023 is not for the south.

There is lack of unity in the south so the north will take advantage of this to remain in power

They will never hand over. Power is the ultimate drug and they are hooked. Why will slave master and Jailer suddenly free his slaves and release his prisoners. The North has used its slaves in the south to imprison the East, They know that the Ibos are fighting to be free and once the Ibos are free, whether SS joins with the Ibos or not, SS is automatically free. So no more oil for them? Do you think they want that?
