I have noticed there is a certain class of Nigerian that understands his or her own life based on what they see on CNN International. They can't tell you anything about Nigeria outside of what's on CNN International and various trending topics on Twitter. But, ironically, they make up the bulk of the Nigerian 'intellectuals' and 'political analysts' online. These are usually upper-middle class children of moderately successful people that are (usually) a part of the 'elite'. These intellectuals are usually of no consequence, unrecognizable in their actual voting wards, and typically don't come out on election day for fear of harm. Their primary concern is not Nigeria's well being, but the image of Nigeria so that they are not treated poorly when they go shopping in the UK.

Usually, when someone that happens in American, they will force feed and equivalent in Nigeria. When Bernie Sanders was talking about Socialism, suddenly they started called Buhari a socialist. When Obama was saying Change, suddenly they decided Buhari is talking about Change without consulting Buhari himself. When Americans say happy Thanksgiving, here they come.

Political analysis is free and anyone can participate, but this strain of it is particular because it is void of the on-ground reality. It is a fantasy politics of people that are fundamentally uncomfortable around Nigerians as a whole. It's escapism disguised as politics and it is largely responsible for creating and perpetuating Buhari.

So, when do you think Nigerian intellecuals will start their 'Buhari Impeachment' tweets and Nairaland posts?

This is Nigeria ....
The North will oppose impeachment of their kinsmen

Paid protesters will fill the streets to oppose it

DSS will begin to kidnap lawmakers

EFCC will remember some house of assembly members collected bribes in Abacha's regime and begin to harass and arrest people.

Police protection for lawmakers will be withdrawn and police will be sent to lock up the house of assembly and steal the mace .

Violent Riot will begin in Kano and spread to sokoto .., southerners will be targeted and killed to create chaos.

My brother...big bags of Ghana must go bags filled with dollars will be shared to lawmakers as bribes not to impeach BUHARI

Lawmakers will begin to fight and throw punches abuse one another in the house floor. To cause choas rowdiness and disruption of the impeachment .

Gunshots will reign inside the house to chase people away .....

This is Nigeria... BUHARI or any other president will never be impeached
