All the above mentioned are definitely as a result of bad policies made by this ineffective government. After they have done that, then we can now reconcile the difference.

In the past, the SW was the defender of the defenseless in Nigeria playing the opposition, and keeping government excesses in check historically. However, the role changed when they (opposition not Obasanjo) eventually came to the Centre. There was no longer any opposition, and Nigeria hasn’t had any tangible opposition (checks and balance) ever since 2015.

The gap is really huge hence, TY’s dismay and observation. Nigerians are not used to having SW keep quiet in the face of government abuse of power. It is very discomforting actually.

The biggest problem which we are facing in Nigeria is illiteracy. Some of these companies have shut down operation in the country and move to other African countries or other countries in the world. Also you cannot tax companies which are making massive losses. If there is nobody investing in the country this is what you get. Another point a lot off companies have borrowed loans you cannot tax a company which is bankrupt .

Fowler, also made mentioned of the fragile nature kf the economy and heavy taxes could add a burden to the stability and progress of the company.
