Steps to Install Netgear EX3920 WiFi Extender

Unbox your Netgear WiFi extender carefully.
Plug-in your EX3920 extender near to your WiFi router.
Wait until the LED turn into solid.

There are two methods to setup Netgear WiFi range extender i.e. WPS and Netgear Installation Assistant.

After following the above-mentioned steps, press the WPS button present on the back or side of the range extender.
Wait for few minutes until the extender WPS LED not get solid.
Once the LED gets solid, unplug the WiFi range extender.
Move your WiFi extender to a new location.
Plug it back where you need the WiFi signals of your home WiFi router.

Note: If your WiFi router supports the 5GHz band, your EX3920 range extender attempts to connect to the WiFi router's 5GHz band as you press the WPS button.

WiFi Extender Setup using Netgear Installation Assistant

Note: Ensure that you are using the latest Netgear WiFi extender firmware version, before proceeding for extender setup.

Once the installation process is done, connect your home WiFi router to range extender via using an Ethernet cable.
Now, connect your computer to the WiFi router with another Ethernet cable.
Open any web browser on your computer (my favourite is Internet Explorer).
Now visit mywifiext.net webpage.
You will land on the WiFi extender setup page.
Enter the default extender login credentials and click on 'Log In' button.
Now, click on the new extender setup button.
Simply follow the on-screen instructions to set up your EX3920 WiFi extender.
Once done, click on the Save button.
Now unplug your range extender from the power outlet.
Move your WiFi range extender to a new location.
Plug it back into an electric power outlet.
Once the power LED gets solid, try to connect your computer to the extender's network and test the Internet connection.

Netgear Genie Troubleshooting Guidelines after Installation

Perform a restart by rebooting both your WiFi router and extender.
