THE LAND. A Poem About Nigeria by ifiokjohn(m): 9:12am On Dec 23, 2019
Hello Guys, So during the Week, I had this Inspiration to write this Poem. I ain't an English Student so there might be mistakes Here and there but I will be happy to take Corrections.
The Events that taken place in Nigeria made Me sit and write this
SO HERE GOES SOMETHING!

THE LAND

The Land is like a Roaring Lion
Eating it's Young

The Land is like a Raging Sea drowning it's Inhabitants
people go, people come
all I see is a gloomy look

The Future seems blurred
The prophets can't predict

The Eagles eat up the Youngs of the Hen (The People)

Hope seems Faraway
Not even the Tallest could see
or the Longest could Grasp

The Pulse of the Nation is at it's Weakest
the people fear and leave everything to GOD

The leaders Rule with Iron fist
Even the Wise are confused

The Land is like a Barren Farmland ( No rainfall)
it's Fruits cutoff and only enjoyed by it's leaders
while the Poor stand and look.

"The 8th day Creation, The Military, Matches on trampling upon the rights of the people".

The Last hope of the Common Man is Compromise
bought by the very Purse that house's the people's Wealth

The Constitution is set aside, seems like the Military rules.

All I see is tears and more tears
No Respite insight

"Nigeria is off the Cliff not even the Longest can save it."

And that is it.
I know there are a lot of mistakes there but I will be happy if Someone can correct my mistakes and Grammatical errors if Any.

Mods Please put This on Front-page

I will like to see your Thoughts about it
