Ferry community is a slum riverine environment in the Oworoshoki axis of Kosofe local government Lagos state with over 20,000 people living in the environment.
Most people in this community are fishermen, petty traders, scavengers and unemployed others.
The children in this community is 5× number of adults residing in this poor environment and they are all striving to become somebody great in the society later in future. Reason they are enrolled in a school, most especially public schools. Although most of the school in this environment are privately own, majority of the parents cannot afford the fees of these schools, so they opt for cheap education in public primary institution own by state government which is almost 5km to this slum.
Most children trek every day just to meet up with the school activities and trek back home after the day activities.
BTL foundation in line with it mission and vision statement which centre around "poor children, orphan, less privilege, sick, old people'' decided to pick this location for it first outreach in Nigeria, July 2019.
BTL foundation reached out to more 1000 children and adults in this community in it introduction mission.
Today, BTL foundation has been incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission and will be expanding it scope of operation by next year 2020.
Together we can make the world a better place by spreading Love and serving as beacon of hope to the hopeless and less privilege.
