Mikel Arteta was very happy with the early signs of progress he saw from his Arsenal players on Boxing Day against Bournemouth though admits he has plenty of areas to work on improving.

The Gunners went behind at the Vitality Stadium but rallied in the second half, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s strike sealing a 1-1 draw – though they had enough chances to win the match.

Arsenal have only won one of their last 16 matches in all competitions and face top-four rivals Chelsea next on Sunday, though Arteta insists his primary focus is on working with the players.
