The Editor in-chief of the News gazette Online Comrade Uche Aguoru, Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Chairman of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Chief Nnia Nwodo and other distinguished Igbo men and women across the globe will on Saturday the 29th of December 2019 receive the prestigious Igbo Heritage Awards for their significant contributions to human and socio-economic development of Igbo land and Nigeria.

This award which is scheduled to hold at Best Western Hotels, Independence Layout, Enugu on Saturday, December 28, 2019 has as its theme: Reinventing Igbo land: Setting the Agenda for a New Consciousness.

The Awards are exclusively for persons of solid integrity nominated on the merit of their sterling pedigrees as people whose pioneering breakthroughs, innovations, leadership excellence and humanism have brought honour to Igbo land and Nigeria. Anchored on celebrating ONLY the highest standards of character and achievements for youths to emulate, it is conceived as the most prestigious Award brand in Igbo land.

Dr. Gregory Ibe, the Chancellor of Gregory University will be delivering the key note address while Chief Nnia will be the chairman of the event.
