There are very strong indications that the activities of motorcycles and tricycles operators will be highly restricted in the next 24 hours.



This piece of warning was revealed by the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday during a live television programme monitored on Television Continental.



The governor who was responding to a question on the menace these two popular means of transportation caused on the roads especially on security, said he would be having a security meeting on Tuesday where very far-reaching decisions will be taken.



" We are having a Security Meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) and after that, we are going to make a pronouncement, " he replied,

"We want to sign it off with our Security Committee. After the meeting tomorrow morning , there will be an announcement on the decision of the Lagos State Government has taken as regards to security operatives on what and how to deal with the okada menace and also Keke Marwa."he warned.



''Just give us the next 24 hours, you will see the pronouncement on the entire security architecture of the state. It's a far-reaching that must be taken."



Road users have raised many concerns on the attitude of the operators in causing accidents as well as committing acts of robbery in the state.



The governor also seized the opportunity to Address different aspects of the state ahead of the New Year.

That tricycle is a no go area..

Unemployment will skyrocket and transportation will become more difficult for people.
