Buhari Will Surrender Power In 2023 And Not Stand Down – PDP Rages by spunky425(m): 9:41am On Jan 02, 2020 |
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has all but condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s New Year Letter to Nigerians. The opposition party via it’s official Twitter handle, @OfficialPDPNig, labelled the letter as “completely uninspiring, tasteless, repetitive and vacuous.” Parts oof the long thread of tweets read; “President @MBuhari should withdraw his unnecessary remark in his new year message about “standing down” in 2023, as he and his party, the @OfficialAPCNg, would have no other option than to exit office at the end of this tenure. “The party described President @MBuhari’s new year message as completely uninspiring, tasteless, repetitive, vacuous and does not galvanize any form of hope for a despairing nation like ours,” the party stated. The party explained that as stipulated in the 1999 Constitution as amended, Buhari must surrender power on May 29, 2023 when his second term ends. “@OfficialPDPNig holds, in total submission to the letter and spirit of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), that it is not an issue of “standing down” or not being “available” for future election, but a decided and inevitable position as contained in our constitution that he must quit office after two terms which will end in 2023. “Mr. President, therefore, does not have any other choice before the law. “Whether President @MBuhari likes it or not, he and his @OfficialAPCNg will exit the arena at the end of this tenure. History is replete with lessons from those who sought to stretch our nation beyond her limits,” Full story https://www.delaniblog.com.ng/2020/01/buhari-will-surrender-power-in-2023-and-not-stand-down-pdp/ |

PDP keeps finding any opportunity to sell more of Dubai strategy propaganda that had failed them in 2019. The President and his numerous aides have already discarded any talks of the the President running in 2023, yet PDP will not give itself peace. Is it until too much high BP cause them to surrender on their wailings like the clown Reno Omokri, who thought he was tormenting the President, yet he was the one suffering in silence? |

aolawale025: Typical PDP wailer who does not even know the body message behind the topic, but is compelled by partisanship to wail. |

Throwback:the problem here is the use of the words "stand down". Like he's doing us a favour. Buhari's tenure ends 2023 and there is no standing down involved there. He will be out and that's it. 1 Like 1 Share |

Throwback: If you really finished your secondary school where comprehension was thought, you would have grabbed what PDP is saying. But, the normal APC apologists will never read to understand but rather attack people of diverse opinion... Incase you didn't get it, it is not on Buhari to step down because after 2023, he cannot be a president anymore. Stepping down means he voluntarily stepping aside from the office. |

"Stand down" does not mean he's retiring from politics but he'll leave the stage for a new Apc candidate to become the President.Simple!!! |
