The Centre of Excellence was filled with joy as former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode played host to the people of Epe Community on New Year’s Day.

Looking fit and full of life, Ambode in his kind gesture served food to the Epe people who have missed him since he left power.

Well wishers, friends and associate also gathered in his Epe country home thanking God upon his life and for his safe return.

A leader of the team who gave her name as Madam Bamishe in her reaction said Ambode has done well for Lagos state in general and Epe in particular that is why they were happy he came back looking healthy and happy as he expressed joy and happiness at the level of loyalty and support showed to him.

While enjoining them to stay faithful to the ruling All Progressive Congress, Ambode assured them that he will always hearken to their call any time and advised them to remain calm and work for the success of the current administration in Lagos state.

He further said he have no grudge against anyone and pray that Lagos will continue to witness progress and development even after his administration.

It should be recalled that Akinwunmi Ambode lost out in the high wired power play leading to the 2019 general election and has since remain detached from the politics of Lagos state preferring instead to stay behind the scene even with all the controversy peddled about him,
One of the core loyalist of Ambode who preferred to speak in anonymity said they were happy to welcome him back home and it is evident that Lagosians still appreciate the good works of the former Governor looking at the large turn out of former Commissioners, various appointees and politicians that thronged his home to celebrate New Year with him.
