The race for 2019/2020 highest Goalscorer standings for Golden Boot contest is about to come to and end with our eyes fixed on Jamie vardy

The Foxes sit eight points behind leaders Liverpool but strengthened their claim for a place in the top four with Chelsea and Manchester City dropping points.

Vardy initially equalised for Everton, being set up by Iheanacho, taking his tally for the season to 13 – extending his lead at the top of the Premier League’s goalscoring charts.

He is joined on double figures by Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who scored twice in his side’s 2-2 draw with Norwich City on Sunday. Tammy Abraham also sits on 10 but did not have the opportunity to add to his tally, sitting out Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to West Ham United with injury.

Behind the duo on nine is Sergio Aguero, who also missed out this weekend through injury and looks set to be sidelined for Manchester City’s next few games, potentially falling further away from the top three.

Aguero sits one ahead of Man City teammate Raheem Sterling, who scored in their 2-2 draw with Newcastle United, and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane who drew a blank against Brighton.

Four players follow up on seven goals to complete the top 10, including Danny Ings and Teemu Pukki – who both scored for their respective clubs this weekend – alongside Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford. The latter saw a potential eighth taken off him against Aston Villa and awarded as an own goal from Tom Heaton.

Tammy Abraham is enjoying his debut season for Chelsea under manager Frank Lampard and could very well push both Vardy and Aguero to the limit.

Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also enjoying another solid start to the season, building on from last season’s tally of 22 goals.

1. Jamie Vardy: 17 goals (1,710 minutes)
2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: 13 goals (1,788 minutes)
3. Danny Ings: 12 goals (1,372 minutes)
4. Tammy Abraham: 12 goals (1,492 minutes)
5. Marcus Rashford: 12 goals (1,733 minutes)
6. Raheem Sterling: 11 goals (1,583 minutes)
7. Harry Kane: 11 goals (1,705 minutes)
8. Sergio Aguero: 10 goals (909 minutes)
9. Sadio Mane: 10 goals (1,509 minutes)
10. Mohamed Salah: 9 goals (1,355 minutes)
