A reckless driver on Saturday morning ran his tipper into the popular Good Food Restaurant located opposite General Hospital In Ughelli, Delta State.

According to reports gathered from eyewitnesses drafted to the scene, the empty tipper that usually conveys gravel to building sites in a lone accident, swerved off the road and ran into the shop but luckily, the owners were yet to commence business for the year. Hence, no casualty was recorded.

The driver, when interviewed said an approaching saloon car had faced him in a head on collision and in an attempt to avert terrible loss of lives, was forced to swiftly divert the tipper into the restaurant that was undergoing renovation.


As at the time of filing this the report, operators of the restaurant were on ground negotiating with the owner of the tipper.
