Urhokpota Hall was reportedly on fire around 2am last night. Eyewitnesses claim they heard a blast which they suspected to be a knockout sound beside the hall which preceded the fire. It was also reported that petroleum like product was noticed around the burnt hall. However, the fire was put out by Ogbe youths before the inferno could wreak more havoc. This historical hall hosted the coronation of the Oba of Benin in 2016. This incident comes just 2 weeks after the Osa Market was razed down completely by fire.
