Iran’s group of hackers take responsibility for hacking a U.S. government website in their first cyber attack two days after their military chief’s death. The website holds Federal publications that the public can access for free.



In what looks like the first of a series of Iran cyber attacks, a U.S. website suffered a hack. Although there is no official confirmation from the White House yet, it appears to be the case.



The attack comes a few hours after Donald Trump, president of the United States made further threats against Iran. In the wake of the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, Iran had issued an official statement about avenging his death.

Iranian authorities had said it was not a matter of if but when. The slain military leader who is to be buried on Tuesday was viewed as a martyr. However, Trump did not take the threat lying down. Despite having a largely divided country because of his overall attitude, he took to Twitter to make a counter-threat.
