[size=14pt]Its now a popular knowledge that used imported Vehicles can only be 15years or newer from the date of manufacturer. It is a very good and welcoming news to a lot of Nigerians. I am one of them. The obvious question is simple: Why would anyone ship thru Cotonou? Seems like Cotonou will be irrelevant very soon. But not so fast. One thing i have noticed all along with Cotonou is that they are very business savvy and will DEFINITELY counter the move. The only way they can counter at this point is to drop their import duty cost.[/size] [size=16pt]MY PREDICTION:[/size] [size=14pt]EXPECT ABOUT 30-50% RATE REDUCTION IN COTONOU CUSTOMS DUTY IN THE COMING MONTHS!!![/size] [size=14pt]Cotonou will not take this lying down. Not at all. Expect to clear and cross a 1993/94 car for around N100k or less[/size] |
