Why is it that whenever you hear islam, the first thing that comes through your mind is terrorism and war, jihadist, Shi'ites, ISIS, boko haram and many more, they are all under islam, you can never hear that some group of Christian attacked so so so people.........(never in d history of news) but anything that relates to terrorism, murdering of a whole village, killing of Christians are all being carried out by Muslims, fulani herdsman (islam) boko haram (islam)..., i pity all non-muslims that voted for bubu. The islam we know today means destruction.

agreed, but did u know that before Uthman dan fodiyo started d jihad, many attempt were made to eliminate him(uthman) because islam was against their corrupt system of administration and dan fodiyo doesn't like the way they practice their own form of islam, because islam was being mixed together with their traditional religion, Uthman was against i because that was not the pure form of islam, due to this, many king's and leader's doesn't like uthman, so he was targeted but Uthman flee, he later realised that if he continues to flee from this corrupt people then pure islam will be extinct, he however gathered his followers instructed them to use the means of force to convert people if necessary and it's also a means of self defence against the corrupted people.

in conclusion, i can say Uthman actions are more of an activist because he's against the corrupted system
