Elrufai the Governor of Kaduna State, announced the decision after inspecting the scene of a fatal gas explosion that occurred on Saturday.

Kaduna state government has banned gas retail shops in residential and high-risk areas with immediate effect.

By this directive, all retail gas refill shops operating in the said areas are to shut down
