A national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday has cautioned against the haste in debating which zone of the country should produce the next president now.

Tinubu, who spoke with State House correspondents after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, said such would affect the pace of governance by President Mohammadu Buhari’s government.

He cautioned that discussing 2023 the presidency would distract the government from providing people-oriented services such as roads, and other development agenda of the administration.

When asked what informed the visit, Tinubu said he visited the leader of his country, look at things and wish him well for this new decade and make some points on the stability, security and a number of issues around the country.

He also noted that Buhari's new year message resonated very well and that any reasonable politician who has worked with him knows that he will not contest in 2023 and he has the courage and character to refuse such a temptation if offered to him.

It's too early to talk about 2023, yet he's happy Buhari said he will not contest.

No matter how much he tries, he cannot but keep baring his intentions to succeed Buhari.

If it wasn't so, Tinubu wouldn't have minded if the constitution is tinkered with to accommodate Buhari's third term since he so much believes the man is the best thing that has happened to him after cocaine.

But one message for the brown teeth is that he will "NEVER" rule Nigeria.
