Hiring has never been an easier part of HRs work responsibilities. But, it gets tougher to fill a job position for the HR when there is a vacancy in any tech profile. It is difficult to find a candidate that ticks the checklist. The recruiter not only needs to be quick but also be able to engage the candidate so that he doesn’t hop elsewhere.
Taking all this and more into consideration, we have enlisted the secrets to do tech recruiting like a pro after talking to some of the expert tech recruiters. Take a look!

Rely on right places for tech sourcing-
The next time you say that tech recruiting is hard, rethink the channels and mediums you are relying on for finding the techies. Traditional channels are not the best to find them. But, that doesn’t necessarily require you to invent a channel. The best thing is to rather keep feeding your HRMS software with the relevant candidates for various tech profiles. The next step is to stay consistent when it comes to communication. Keep sending them the news related to your company. Start giving them information be it work policy, leave policy, reward system, or anything else good about your company that makes the prospect more interested in working with your organisation. Nurture every lead so well that it is not just you who is waiting for them to look for a job change but also them waiting for a vacancy in your organisation!

Steer efforts to make your employer a brand-
It is imperative to make your employer a brand in the eyes of the outside world. While you are doing so, it may not be able to give you results directly but it will impact the willingness of prospects to join your company drastically. For instance, you can organise a meetup and show them the premise, make the relevant teams and key persons in your office. This can help you find references if the people end up liking things and people at your office. You can even begin advertising and on social media platforms or do storytelling to gauge attention and attract the right talent.

Start using your HR tools smartly-
If you are not at all using any HR tool, you are not being your most productive self. It is so as you are wasting more than half of the time in doing things manually that can be done by the HRMS software in seconds. So, if you are not using the best HR software, you should start using one. Also, make sure you are aware of all the features and the ways to use it.

Even after sourcing the candidates, it is really important to spot the best one out of them and keep him engaged. So, make sure everything you do is done differently. Ask yourself with everything you do if the same will entice you, is it different enough? If the answer is yes, you are on the right track and hiring tech recruiters will become easier for you thereafter!
