Good day everyone, i just bought a laptop and its windows is windows7 professional, i want to upgrade to windows 10 but my friends told me that windows 10 drains the battery life of a laptop and on the long run it affects the battery cell. So i wanna ask if this is true?

See bro, except you are buying brand new laptop, if you are buying a used laptop someone would have used it before and you dont know how well the person used the laptop before

All battery have have a specific life cycle, once it has been reached the battery will die

So please change that paspetive that win 10 kills battery, it just the end of life cycle that has kicked in for the battery to die

I don't think it does, but since you bought a windows 7 laptop I would advise you to upgrade Windows 8.1 and leave it at that, Windows 10 does not perform well with older PCs.

what drains battery is when your system display driver is not driven. What's the name and model of your laptop? Let's be sure it can run Windows 10 smoothly

Exactly. Sometime back, I reinstalled Windows 10 after I changed hard drives and I was surprised to see that my 4 hour battery was writing less than 2 hours. It was after I updated the graphics drivers that it came back to normal. And besides, Windows 7 support is ending today. Windows 10 is just too good. The interface, the easy shortcuts, Windows Hello login, light desktop theme, screen rotation and even a brightness slider in the notification menu. Help me tell him to come to the 10 side

Type device manager in the search box, then click on it... Look for display, click on the drop down and screenshot it and send here

to check your battery life download battery info view it shows everything about your battery now i know fake and geniue battery and it shows a good extemated battery life and duration
