The Rivers State Government (RVSG) Task Force on Illegal Street Trading, Markets, Motor Parks and Mechanics through the Coordinator/Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Hon. Bright Chikweru Amewhule has on multiple occasions advised Truck Drivers/Owners, Filling Station Owners and other Industries within the State, that uses heavy duty trucks to carry their goods, not to congest the State with their trucks as it’s affects both human and vehicular movements.

Hon. Amewhule stressed that most of these Drivers and Industries Owners are very much aware of the Rivers State new law which forbids them from parking illegally on the street and major roads of the Garden City, but that they choose to ignore and disobey the law for their selfish interest.

The Coordinator, warns that henceforth any Truck Driver/Industry Owner who goes contrary to the law will be arrested and his Truck impounded by the State Government and same person will be charged to court for further actions as the law states.
