Pls I need some help with this.
Lately, My car (Honda Prelude 2000) goes off suddenly while in motion,  sometimes when stationary, I wouldn't really call it stalling, more like it 'dies' i.e. the power/dash-lights just go off completely. If I try to re-start immediately, it does but will just die again but Usually I can re-start after 1 to 3 try's of the ignition.   This stuff has happened randomly, twice after driving for about an hour, and once even before driving out the gate. All these in the past week.
The mechanic thinks it may be the fuel filter/ fuel pump but I cant afford such expensive guesses at all this christmas season.
I think it may be an issue with the key/ignition contact, maybe worn or something. I remember reading sometime ago here about ignition/relay/fuses? being able to cause such wahala.
Another factor that makes me think fuses is that just today, i noticed that right front-traffickator and fog lights no longer work, the rear ones work however. I have no idea how long this has been like this as i rarely drive at night.


So, I want to start the DIY trouble-shooting by checking the appropriate fuses for ignition/relays/the lights but I dont know where to look

i think your ignition brushes are worn!! hence complete loss of power to the dash reading

yes, oga ikey, I think it was you that mentioned it in another thread
but what do I do as per repairs? will I have to get a new ignition block + key? any idea how much this might set me back?

let him take it out first i would assume if i was u to have a look
