Everyone is eligible to contest if (i)he/she is a citizen of Nigeria by birth (ii)he/she has attained age of 40 years (iii)he/she is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party (iv)he/she has been educated up to at least school certificate level or it's equivalent Moreover the year 2023 elections will come with a new Republic in Nigeria that will be accompanied with dissolution of political parties and with many more new parties and charismatic individuals contesting for the seat of President of Nigeria
