How I Wish I Knew About Ats When I Was In Secondary School by starryadmin: 5:16pm On Jan 13, 2020 |
It happened that I went for my senior colleague's 50th birthday, he introduced me to their only child Ifeanyi. Ifeanyi is 20 years old, a final year student in the university and he has just completed his professional level in ICAN. I was really surprised that at 20 years, Ifeanyi was already Chartered. His father told me that Ifeanyi started his ICAN journey through ATS immediately after he finished secondary school. Ifeanyi's parent were able to guide him through his career journey because they are well informed. My case was different, I became a Chartered Accountant at the age of 36, even though it looks like it was late, well I still thank God for his grace. Maybe if I had a mentor or parent to direct me through my career journey, it wouldn't have been this late. I wrote Jamb the year I finished secondary school but failed, so I had to wait for another year, the next year I passed Jamb but didn't make cut-off for the course I wanted to study, so I had to wait another year again....... How I wish I was informed, I would have started and finish ATS, two years even before I finally gained admission into the university. So eventually I started ICAN after I finished the university and because of my busy schedule, I struggled with passing ICAN exam because I didn't have time to attend lectures. When I started working, it was difficult for me to write ICAN exams due to the nature of my job, I was always very busy even on weekends, so I could not attend classes. I had to force myself to write ICAN exams because when had a new CEO, everything changed suddenly; I felt humiliated, the junior staffs were all promoted ahead of me and one of them was made the head of the department. The company also came up with the policy that it is compulsory for all Accountants to be Chartered. Thanks for Video lectures that is now available, it actually saved me from being sacked. I am not writing this in regret, but for all parents to learn how to guide their kids who has interest in becoming an Accountant to start from ATS immediately after their WAEC. ……. That was an email I received recently. P.S: The distance between success and failure is just a thin line called INFORMATION, a lot of people are struggling just because they don’t have the right information on time. Do you have a child, neighbor, a friend’s child, church/mosque members and others who has interest in becoming a Chartered Accountant? Let them join our FREE ATS class now, click here to join ………………….. To get our ATS Comprehensive Video lectures, Call Starry Gold Academy on 07086810335, 08023428420, 08085378906 OR 08123189141 |
