SITE can be used as a noun and as [/i]a verb[/i].

Site As a Noun can mean:

⏩ the piece of land on which something is located or is to be located e g.

That street is a good site for the school

⏩ a physical position in relation to the surroundings;e.g.

The sites are determined by highly specific sequences of nucleotides

⏩ a computer connected to the internet that maintains a series of web pages on the World Wide Web; e.g.

Site as a Verb

CITE can only be used as a verb to mean:

✅ to make reference to; e.g.

His name was cited in connection with the invention

✅ to commend; e.g

✅ to refer; e.g.
