•We can only have one Mayegun of Yoruba Land - OPC Leader



Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State was on Wednesday filled with great calibers who honoured the installation of the Aare Onakakanfo in council by Chief Gani Adams, the Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land.

Among the top dignitaries who graced the occasion is popular Lagos Philanthropist, Mr. Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran, the lead visioner of Jandor Foundation.

Adediran who has reached hundreds of thousand of Lagosians through his foundation was warmly welcomed amidst huge crowd at the historical event.

Speaking before the conferment of titles on the designates, Chief Gani Adams cleared the air by refuting clash in titles conferred by the Alafin of Oyo and the Aare Onakakanfo.

Chief Adams said: "we can only have one Mayegun of Yoruba Land which is a title solely conferred by the Alafin of Oyo State and the Aare Onakakanfo can only install the Mayegun to the Aare Onakakanfo".

Speaking at the sideline of the event, one of the beneficiaries of the Jandor Foundation, Mr. Olaseyi Opeifa showers praises on Mr. Olajide Adediran, describing him as "God's gift to humanity".

Recounting his experience, Opeifa said he would have been a school dropout but for the intervention of Jandor Foundation.

"Aside the many students beneficiary, the market women, widows and senior citizens are also beneficiaries of the Mandir Foundation empowerment scheme", he added.

Some of the members of the newly constituted aare Onakakanfo in council include: Hon. Adegboyega Salvador-Adebayo, Otun aare, Chief Abiodun Mufutau Adewale Kuku, Otun Balogun, Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Asiat Smoke Kuku, Erelu Aare among others.
