BREAKING: Uche Nwosu Petitions Supreme Court To Declare Him Imo Governor

Mr. Uche Nwosu, the son-in-law to former governor of Imo State, Owelle rochas Okorocha, has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court seeking to be declared the governor of the State.

Mr. Nwosu premised his appeal on the Supreme Court judgement that he was the candidate of Action Alliance [AA] and the All Progressives Congress [APC] at the same time during the 2019 governorship election held in the state.

Nwosu’s candidature, it could be recalled, was nullified by the apex court for vying the governorship election on two platforms simultaneously, AA and APC.

In a twist of events, the Court went ahead on Tuesday and removed the governor of the state, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and declared the APC candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma the duly elected governor of the state.

Senator Uzodinma finished fourth in the election behind Uche Nwosu who came second and Chief Ifeanyi Ararume of the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] who came third.

Consequently, the AA candidate returned to the Supreme Court and urged the court to declared him the winner of the election haven garnered the second highest vote after PDP’s Emeka Ihedioha.

The latest Supreme Court judgement has generated a lot of controversy as the total figure of voters arrived at by the apex court differs with a margin of over 100,000 votes from that issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC].

See below:

Total Accredited Voters as published by INEC: 823,743.

Total Valid Votes after Supreme Court allocation: 950,952.

The supreme court judges have proven to be mathematical gurus.

The political abracadabra that occurred is a clear example of the-more-you-look-the-less-you-see.

No I'm not agree. That man is a fraudster and Nigeria law against it. You can't double as a flag bearer of two parties at same time. If court can sentence this man to 15 years imprison other people that trying to do such could have learn.

Let him get good lawyers, this case will sail through. It was supreme court that declared him candidate of APC & AA, so there is no way Hope should be the governor even if APC is declared winner.

Re: Imo APC: House On Fire Barely 24 Hours After Swearing In. by kahal29: 8:24pm On Jan 16, 2020
Unfortunately the Supreme Court addressed this issue in the judgement they delivered.....

Ihedioha had argued that the Supreme Court had earlier in its judgment delivered on December 20, 2019 declared that Uche Nwosu was the candidate of both the APC and the Action Alliance and on the basis of that declared the nomination of Nwosu for the March 2019 election as null and void.

His lawyers argued that the apex court’s judgment implied that Uzodinma was not the APC’s candidate in the election.

But addressing this argument in the Tuesday’s judgment, Justice Kekere-Ekun held that the issue of nomination was a pre-election issue that could not be raised in a post-election litigation.

The supreme court judgement was a simple. It is people who either don't understand it or just trying to be mischievous that are making an issue out of it. Uche Nwosu was disqualified as he contested on two fronts, AA and APC. Therefore, Hope Uzodimma is recognised as the lawful candidate of APC. Over 300,000 votes were wrongful cancelled by INEC. These votes have been "returned" to APC thereby making Hope Uzodimma the winner.

Did they now remove uche nwosu votes... Where did they send it to?
