Elon Musk Discloses Future Tech Allowing Talks Between Cars And Pedestrians by Serendipity101: 7:02pm On Jan 17, 2020
American automaker, Tesla, is not relenting on its mission to blaze a trail in the automotive industry. After unveiling what has been described as a one-of-a-kind truck – the Tesla Cybertruck – the futuristic automobile company is making promises of taking things several notches higher.

According to the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, Tesla cars will be able to talk to pedestrians, if they want. This was disclosed in a message posted by the Tesla boss recently on Twitter.

The short tweet did not state details of the feature, but it is presumed that it will be an advanced artificial intelligence tool. Having been trained to be conversant with different signals and scenarios, the system will make use of external speakers to communicate with drivers and pedestrians based on signals detected. As the car approaches humans, it will make use of various sensors to formulate suitable messages and actions.

Replying to a question asked by a Twitter user if the feature would be an addition to the sentry mode (Tesla's anti-theft mode), Musk answered in the affirmative. He went further by saying that it would cause confusion among robbers who are up to no good. The system will be programmed to make a loud sound when it detects unauthorized movements. Road crashes are expected to be reduced as the system will be able to detect external objects and prevent a collision.
