Insecurity: Nigeria Under Siege, Says Catholic Bishop by valentineuwakwe(m): 7:14pm On Jan 17, 2020
The Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna Diocese , Bishop Man ’oso Ndagoso on Friday lamented the spate of kidnappings in the state and described the country as being under a siege .
Ndagoso said this in Kaduna on Friday when officials of the Catholic Men Organisation of Nigeria paid him a solidarity visit over the kidnapping of some students in the state .
While lamenting that the fate of one of the priests in the diocese kidnapped since March 2019 was still unknown , he said his diocese was worst hit by the activities of kidnappers in recent times .
The cleric also said another Priest from the diocese was kidnapped in May 2019 but was later released from the kidnappers ’ den .
According to the Bishop , the worst incident was the recent one where four students of the Catholic Good Shepherd Major Seminary located in Kaukau along the Kaduna- Abuja Expressway and concluded that the country was under a siege unless some urgent actions were taken to arrest the situation .
“ This is the third time kidnapping is happening directly to our diocese .
“ It is understatement to say that our country is under siege . No other country will tolerate this type of insecurity without calling for mass protests . Definitely our country is under siege ,” he said .
On the fate of kidnapped students, Ndagoso said , “ I cannot sleep over whatever condition they are going through .
“ People can no longer sleep with two eyes closed, yet our leaders have the gut to say that there is security in the country.
“ I think people now seem to have given up on the security situation because there is nothing they can do , they just resigned to fate .
“ With the technologically developed security gadgets in the 21st century, there is nowhere in the world , even underwater that criminals cannot be traced or tracked.
“ But security agencies keep on saying that they are on top of the situation .
“ We will continue to pray for them, they are our students until they are freed. We keep hoping that God will expose those behind the insecurity in this country .
“ We have taken some measures to fortify the school environment in order to secure the other students. ”

Really scary.
The future of this country is very bleak!

Buhari and his security chiefs have really failed.

I really thank God that the narrative is changing and the rest of Nigerians have started seeing what we Igbos have been complaining about.

For a whole TY Danjuma and Obasanjo to come out and complain tells a lot. These are men who participated in Biafran war.

The fact is that we Igbos do not hate anybody. In fact we have proven to have done more business with other tribes than anybody. We have contributed a lot to the Nigerian project in the area of commerce, sports and industry.

We just hate a bad attitude and do not hide or pretend to relay our feelings. The north has been doing a lot of damage to Nigeria and is high time we all spoke against it. We love good northeners but must be frank to condemn a lot of bad ones giving us negative images as a country.

How can one man without good means of income have up to 25 children? You beckon on the votes they will give you. The vote you need to continue in power stealing Niger Delta oil. The biggest profession for a northerner is always military and para military organizations.

Those organisations are checkmating the same nuisance you produce to the society. Any other security formation that could challenge the existing security structure is termed a threat. Amotekun is formed, you have high BP. If IPOB protest, you die of high pertension.

In UK, each component have the right to hold a referendum. In Nigeria the north is always afraid of southern break up. Give everybody justice, no way. Preach against over production of kids mba. Give peace to Christian minority around you, no way. Create enabling environment for peace and harmony to reign, for where?

Is a shame they don't try to change their attitude. They believe everything lasts forever. Some of them pose as Igbos to insult Yorubas online vice versa, enjoying the division they create.

Igbos quickly embraced Nnamdi Kanu because of these attitude. If we have to be in same country, a lot need to change. We cannot continue like this as a people. We deserve absolute peace before what we watch on CNN happen in middle east start in our neighborhood.

Choose Restructuring or Break up. Simple.
