The North has driven their Agenda to a point their close pals, the Westerners, can no longer cope hence the birth of Amotekun. The move has taken them unawares and they're becoming uneasy.

However, the reason the North is jittery is that the coming of Amotekun will water the ground for the revitalization of the BSS or a similar body in the East. We all know the North are always jittery when it comes down to the East arming itself. Just imagining an operational BSS or a similar body in the East is already a nightmare. This is their main worry with the birth of Amotekun.

The second reason being that setting up Amotekun successfully is a step towards Regionalism. This of course does not augur well with a Northern Nigeria of today that is at the lower rungs of every developmental indices.
