List of IELTS test centres in India Everybody looking to settle abroad looks to take up the IELTS exam. And when you have to appear for the exam, the first and foremost thing that comes to mind, apart from the syllabus and what to study for the exam, is how/where to give the test or to be more precise the venue details of the test i.e. the IELTS Test Centres. To begin with, there are two official bodies which conduct the IELTS exam across the country. Taking into account both these organizations the IELTS is conducted in 78 locations (test centres) across India. To talk about the two bodies which conduct the IELTS examination, they are the British Council and the IDB Education. Both the bodies conduct the exam for the same fee of ₹13,250. About which organization the candidates will choose to give their exam depends totally on them. It might depend on which city he/she might be looking to take the test from, i.e. which body has test centres close to his/her convenience, so that he can take the test easily. After deciding on the body from where the test is to be taken, the candidates are expected to book a date with them at the preferred test centre.
