Burundi is one of the world’s poorest countries, yet the parliament allowed President Pierre Nkuranziza to acquire a $530,000 golden parachute, housing and earn a lifetime salary.


President Pierre Nkuranziza came to sit after the 2005 brutal civil war

The formal rebel leader became the second Burundian to be elected via democratic elections after Melchior Ndadaye in 1993

In 2015 their was a agitation when president Nkuranziza declared he was going to run for a third reelection

Been the supreme power president Pierre Nkuranziza still won the spring’s election

Now a lot of Burundians are frowning at the bonuses awarded to Mr. Pierre Nkuranziza (a $530,000 golden parachute, housing and lifetime salary)

Burundi is rated the poorest country in the world but some of her citizens are not complaining because they believe President Nkuranziza is serving a country with the most problems.
