The member representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo federal constituency Hon. Solomon Adaelu’ has concluded arrangements for the construction of a Mini Stadium in his constituency, the sports complex which will be named “Osisioma Ngwa Ultra-Modern Sports Complex” will be located at Amavo Umunneato Autonomous community.

When completed the sports complex will be hosting state of the art facilities with an intendment to harness, nurture and develop talented youths and sportsmen not only from his constituency but across Abia state.

When completed the Ultramodern 600 seater capacity sports facility will be hosting national and international sporting events such as track and field events with indoor games (eg) cricket, table tennis, lawn tennis, squash etc.

There will be an Olympic size football field for Football Competitions with a standard dressing room.

The Complex will also house
1) An Olympic size Swimming Pool
2) Pool Bar
3) Restaurant
4) Handball Court
5) Volleyball Court
6) Basketball Court
7) Table Tennis
Facility for all Olympic Recognized Field and Track Competitions like Javelin, Shot-put, Hammer, Long Jump, Weightlifting, High Jump etc.

In an interview with the News Gazette Online, Hon. Adaelu’ popularly called the Messenger by his constituents, revealed that the major aim of establishing the Complex is to ensure early talent discovery, grassroots Youth development, curb negative vices in our Society, adequately prepare our Sports men and women for future National and International Sporting Competitions and most importantly keep the youths engaged and away from crimes and criminality, in his words“ I decided to site the complex in my constituency so as to open up our Constituency to the World” he described as worrisome the indulgence of our youths into drugs and all manner of crime and noted that if our youths are gainfully and passionately engaged, crimes and indulgence in drugs will experience considerable reduction.
