Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has showered praise on the senator representing Abia South in the National Assembly, Enyinnaya Abaribe over his recent statement on the State of the Nation. Kayode was reacting following Abaribe’s call that President Muhammadu Buhari should resign in what he regards as the inability of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government to address the security challenges in the country. Abaribe stated this on Wednesday on the floor of the Senate during a debate on insecurity in the country. He said: “Nigeria didn’t elect the IGP. We didn’t elect other service chiefs. We elected the APC government in 2015. We are asking this government to resign because it can no longer perform its role.” Reacting over the lawmaker’s call, Fani-Kayode commended Abaribe for having such courage to call for the President's resignation. “ I commend my friend, brother & in-law, Sen. Abaribe, for having the courage to call for the resignation of President Buhari. Very disheartening that under Buhari everything has returned to nothingness. Even as a General which doesn't know anything about the rule of law... What about his vice president who we all knew as an astute law professional and by extension must advise the president on ways to tackle insecurity in Nigeria based on his intellectualism and starboyism as dubbed by praise singers in some quarters. Both the president buhari and vice Osinbajo has failed Nigerians and should tender their letter of resignation immediately. Both needs to leave the Nigeria political space with their failures and sluggishness to issues. Abaribe is very much on point. Perhaps the only senator in the red chamber with balls. The call for buhari's resignation is a merciful one because the foolish statement by buhari claiming ''he's surprise bandiths (fulani terrorist) are killing'' is enough for him to be overthrown.  The senator has done nothing wrong by calling for Buhari's resignation, especially with the sorry state of our security situation.
