The House of Representatives has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to relieve the nation’s Service Chiefs of their jobs.

The call was sequel to the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by Abubakar Fulata.

Fulata who is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said that irrespective of their tenure, the service chiefs should resign.

He argued that doing the same thing over time without a tweak in tactic would yield the same result, and to expect something different is “insanity.”

“Whether their tenures have expired or not, they should resign,” Mr Fulata said of the service chiefs.

Speaking on the motion, Muhammed Monguno from Borno state revealed that there has been a resurgence in the activities of the extremist groups in Northeast.

“I regret to announce that of recent, there is a resurgence in the activities of Boko Haram, to the extent of threatening the territorial integrity of this country as manifested in the consistent attacks on Maiduguri- Damaturu Road. And this Maiduguri- Damaturu Road is the only axis that Maiduguri and Yobe State has to the other parts of the country. It also links Nigeria to the Republic of Cameroon and the Republic of Chad. If this is allowed to go on; not only social activities but business activities will be affected,” he said.

Also contributing to motion, Babajimi Benson from Lagos state disclosed that the National Security Adviser, Babangida Monguno can not visit his own home.

” The NSA is from Maiduguri, he can’t get to his village. The Chief of Army Staff is from Borno, he can’t go to his village. The Chief of Air Staff is from the North East, he can’t go to his village.

“That speaks volume of their inability to take us to the next level. But the decision lies with the Commander on Chief. I don’t know what he sees in the service chiefs, that he is still keeping them,” Benson stated

come and see the more reason senator Enyinnaya Abaribe called for the dullard to resign. His service chiefs cannot go to their home town because of insecurity, and we expect them to secure Nigeria?

Yet the dullard of a President has retained them against all calls by patriotic Nigerians to sack them because of incompetence.

That's madness. Garba shehu and Lauretta Onochie did not see all these prior to now and rant about it, when an elderstatesman raised a serious issue of National concern, they started exhibiting the highest level of foolishness.

Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika piloted fighter jets targeting boko haram settlements in Sambisa forest & also led ground troops fighting the terrorists face to face. He was so active at the war front that, 12 Northern governors went to the White House to inform Obama's administration that, President Goodluck Jonathan has come to avenge Biafra and have declared war on the North.
Serious pressure was mounted on president Jonathan to remove Ihejirika with some international human rights observers berating the army chief for what they called excess human rights abuses. The likes of Rotimi Amaechi, Atiku, Tinubu sponsored propaganda against Ihejirika, Jonathan and Nigerian armed forces fighting terrorism. Even Lai Mohammed criticised Goodluck Jonathan for using excess force against the terrorist organization.
Eventually, they had their way and Jonathan was rigged out and here we are today. Boko haram is running rampage and the chief of army staff is relaxing in Enugu while giving orders for his troops to fight against boko haram. The terrorists have successfully taken over the entire Borno state and are expanding to other states in the North. They now mount road blocks and roam the streets like normal citizens. Gen. Tukur Burutai on his own part recruits captured boko haram members into the army making it impossible for normal soldiers to successfully fight against the terrorists.
Under the leadership of Buhari/Burutai, Nigeria now has 4 different terrorist organizations namely, Boko Haram, ISIS, ISWAP and Fulani herdsmen all fighting in the North targeting Christians and Indigenous people. Days ago, Nigeria became 3rd most terrorised nations in the world and moved further low on global corruption index.
All the whole service chiefs under this current administration has proven time and again to be incompetent but none of them has been removed. Even those whose tenures have expired are still retained by the current administration. They kept allocating funds from our excess crude account to the defence ministry with absolutely nothing to show for it.
Their purported fight against boko haram have taken billions of dollars from Nigeria's internally generated revenues and taxpayers fund with the terrorist organization not showing any sign it could be defeated in the next 10 years. The armed forces has been compromised and the Presidency complicit.
It will take only the grace of God to dethrone this jihadist and terrorism sponsoring government from power. However, Nigerians should keep praying and hoping for God's intervention.
