Another dumb article..what a dumb article, you are so ignorant you don't know employers ask for all what you listed above. You better delete this thread and learn from your mistakes. Ask and you will be educated, stop passing useless information to the public. Unless you are an illiterate with no qualification I expect you to delete this rubbish. Upload that your magical CV and let the world see your innovative ignorance.

This is a very useless write up, we should just submit an empty A4 paper with only our names written on it.

In European countries like Austria, Germany, Leichtenstein, adding your picture in your CV is very much prefered by employers and Institutes of learning.

Primary/ Secondary Education

For Izevbizua, the Product Specialist at the tech company, including details of your primary and secondary education is a waste of time.
According to her, this is a space filler that irritates the hiring manager, adding that this will most likely cause them to stop reading and immediately delete your CV.
The only time you should consider putting this on your CV is when you are applying for an internship.

References

Adding the numbers or email addresses is a waste of space and a waste of the company's time according to Paystack's Product Specialist.
She recommends only offering this particular information when asked.

Irrelevant hobbies and interests

This is another no-no for Izevbizua. Unless the position requires it, there is no need telling your prospective employer how much you love dancing or singing.

Personal stuff

Once upon a time, it was totally okay to include your date of birth or age, marital status and religious preference.

Now, Adeola strongly warns against putting these on your CV or resume. His reason is that this is now considered as discriminatory.
His advice is to simply avoid it except it is a specific job for a specified age. For instance, if a company needs an intern between the ages of 17–25.

Haba! This is gibberish nau angry

In this day and age when there is greater need to know each applicant through their CV (and Social Media) before ever inviting them over? Now, I see why an applicant could bring a scanty CV to our office last year. She must be among those listening to these folks, generalizing for all employers.

Submitting a comprehensive CV is not even a guarantee that an applicant would be called for interview undecided

Only a few will understand the message. My CV that landed me my current job is barely 1 page. If you have so many skills and qualifications, you shouldn’t be wasting the employers time with your primary school details. Things like hobbies, date of birth Religion, marital status, references is a waste of time and space.

Never tell them the truth about where you'd like to be in 5 years.
They really want you to work and die with them and not grow nor branch out better.
