Monica Hails Ebonyi First Lady for the Successful Hosting of Southern Governors' Wives... Describes the Visit as Historic, Eye-opener and a Strategic Marketing of the Feats in Umahi's Administration.

Technical Assistant (TA) on Media to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Lady Monica Ada Chidinma Eze, has described the successful hosting of the Southern Governors Wives by the amiable First Lady of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Rachel Ogonna Umahi as historic, Eye-opener and best market strategy to showcase the magical feats and revolutionary trend in service delivery currently going on in Ebonyi State ignited by the Executive Governor of the state, His Excellency, Apostle David Nweze Umahi (FNATE, FNSE), the Lion of South East and Chairman of South East Governors’ Forum.

In a press statement issued and circulated to media houses in Abakaliki, the State capital of Ebonyi State, Lady Monica quoted the Chairman, Southern Governors' Wives Forum and wife of Edo state Governor, Mrs Besty Obaseki as saying that, "the essence of the Southern Governors Wives Forum is to collaborate among the members to bring new ideas to assist their husbands in the business of governance but most remarkably that we are in Ebonyi to support the wife of the Governor on her empowerment programme the Family Succour and Upliftment Foundation Programme through which she has touched thousands of lives positively and became a strong voice for the upliftment of the widows and the less privileged in Ebonyi State.

Lady Monica Chidinma Ada Eze, who also doubles as the Founder and President of David Umahi Nweze Akuburoah Ebonyi Transformation Agenda (DUNAETA), a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) further stated that the Edo First Lady who is also the Founder of "No Pikin Go Die Foundation" disclosed that their programme is a whole initiative of Southern Governors' Wives Forum which she said had formed a strong bond among them and forced them to integrate in national activities."The main focus of this meeting is to support our sister in what she is doing and participate in empowerment. This is the way to create impact amongst ourselves.

Lady Monica Ada Chidinma Eze, Aka Ada Ebonyi highlighted that her boss the Ebonyi State Executive Governor, Apostle David Nweze Umahi after the Forum paid him a courtesy call as frowning at the rate enemies of the nation spew dissenting comments about their leaders, saying such expression of ingratitude portends grave danger to the entire country, especially as President Mohammadu Buhari intensifies efforts in his war against graft. The fact remains that "Mr. President has done quite a lot in real fight against corruption. We are supporting Mr. President as governors, he commands our respects. I make bold to say Mr. President has never shown partisanship in dealing with governors in Nigeria. This is why he commands our respects, and we will continue to respect him as our President. His Excellency further urged the women to tow the path of pillar and support for their husbands and lauded the nation's First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari saying, she is a detribalized
woman.

On her part, the hostess and Vice President of the Forum, and First Lady of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Rachel Ogonna Umahi, the Founder of the Family Succour and Upliftment Foundation Programme commended the women for coming to Ebonyi State for the summit.

and the Ebonyi First Lady who is also the Vice President of the Southern Governors Forum as the Ebonyi Amazon and Mother of Ebonyi State and heartily congratulated her for making all Ebonyians especially the womenfolk proud for successfully hosting the Wives of Governors of Southern Nigeria recently and showcasing the hospitable nature of Ebonyi State to the wives of the Governors.

The Ada Ebonyi reiterated that the Wives of the Governors were overwhelmed by every aspect of the visit and meeting ranging from the warm and red carpet reception accorded to them and exposing them to our beautiful state capital and environs, glamorous Courtesy Visit to the Governor and State Executive Council, unprecedented turnout of beautifully dressed and supportive Ebonyi women, the best-ever hosting venue, the Ecumenical Centre, the best-ever Banquet Hall at the new Governor's lodge, the warmest hospitality and security and the serene atmosphere through out the period were all evidently clear that the Ebonyi First Lady has hosted the best-ever Meeting of Southern Governors Wives.

"Today, Ebonyi State has turned a tourist centre as both corpers, federal civil servants, Security Agents, foreign and local diplomats, businessmen and women, movies stars and even ordinary Ndigbo and other Nigerians who detest to visit few years back has become the doyen of excellence in every aspect of human development, courtesy of our visionary Governor, His Excellency Engr Chief Dr David Nweze Umahi, Ekubaraoha of Africa". Lady Monica posited.

The meeting was attended by members of the Forum which include Wives of Edo state Governor, Mrs Besty Obaseki, Enugu state, Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi, Delta state, Mrs Edit Okowa and that of Abia state, Dr Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu.. Others are wives of Akwa Ibom state, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel, Ekiti state, Mrs Bisi Fayemi, Osun state, Mrs Kafaya Olaiton, Oyo state and Cross River state, Mrs Linda Ayade.

The three days historic event was to brainstorm on the women mainstreaming and the grand finale of the event was held at the Akanu Ibiam International Conference Centre, at the Abakaliki city centre which has been rehabilitated, furnished with new air conditioners and pictures of the governor’s wife adorning strategic posts in the main auditorium.
