Some of the weapons used in the conflicts between farmers and herders in the country have been traced to Nigerian security agencies, according to a report by Conflict Armament Research (CAR).

The international conflict research group said some of the weapons were traced to “stockpiles of Nigerian defence and security forces”.

The report, which can be downloaded here, said 148 different weapons were discovered and analysed, and those manufactured in Nigeria are the second most prevalent among them.

“Predictably, given widespread weapon diversion from many governments in the region, CAR has traced four weapons in the data set to the stockpiles of Nigerian defence and security forces,” the report said.

“Nigerian-manufactured small-calibre ammunition—including cartridges manufactured as recently as 2014—is the second-most prevalent type of ammunition in this data set.

“Four of the weapons in the data set were previously in service with Nigerian national defence and security forces. CAR has established this through formal tracing and the analysis of secondary marks applied to the weapons, which identify their users.”

At least 3,600 people have been killed in clashes between farmers and herders as of 2018, according to Amnesty International, which blamed the casualties on “gross incompetence” on the part of the authorities.

In some cases like in Plateau state where hundreds of lives have been lost in violent clashes, the police and other security agencies arrest suspects without prosecution.

The report, which focused on Zamfara, Katsina and Kaduna states, said a study of the weapons in use shows the violence is “perpetrated almost exclusively with small arms and light weapons”.

CAR said while some of the weapons used in the conflict are locally manufactured, some originated in Gaddafi-era Libyan stockpiles, and others produced in Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East.

It also traced some of the weapons to terrorists and special forces in Iraq and Libya.

Some of the key findings of the report are:

Groups involved in inter-communal herder–farmer conflicts in northern and central Nigeria use some locally made artisanal weapons (and) also use factory-produced weapons manufactured in Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East.
Weapons that Conflict Armament Research (CAR) documented during field operations in three northern Nigerian states have commonalities with small arms previously in service with national defence forces in Côte d’Ivoire and with weapons that CAR has documented in Libya.
CAR’s data set also includes Iraqi assault rifles manufactured in 1987 … terrorist groups have used weapons from the same batch in successive attacks on security forces in Mali and Niger since 2016.

As I type, the Fulani herdsmen are currently wrecking havoc on mainly Christian-dominated part of Southern kaduna, Zamfara and major part of the North. Few days ago, the people of Plateau state carried out yet another mass burial of their people butchered in their sleep by Fulani herdsmen

Despite the killings, the Nigerian govt has never prosecuted any of them even when Miyetti Allah - their Umbrella body - frequently comes on TV to claim responsibility and promise more attack. Rather than prosecute these terrorists once adjudged the 4th deadliest terror group by the Global Terror Index, the presidency has always defended them and asked Nigerians to learn to live in peace with them. About two years ago, governor Nasir Elrufai of Kaduna state publicly told us that he traced the Fulani herdsmen killing Southern Kaduna people but decided to pay them. Last year, a community in Zamfara claimed the Nigerian Airforce helped the Fulani herdsmen attack them by bombing them from air at the same time the herdsmen were attacking them from land. Former Chief of army staff and minister of defense, rtd General TY Danjuma has publicly accused the Nigerian security agencies of colluding with the terrorists in pursuit of an ethnic cleansing agenda.

Well, here is the proof that the Fulani herdsmen killing and maiming Nigerians share the same armoury with the Nigerian security agencies. So if you are expecting a govt to protect you from a terrorist group they themselves are arming, you go wait tire.

Some of us didn't expect less. A good number of the Nigerian Security men are pro-Boko Haram and Herders. Some are even the planners.

When the government is serious, the security crisis will be resolved within one month but till then, let the men of the underworld have their way

How do one expects the killings to stop when as someone said- "Both BH and the Nigerian military shares the same C-in-C"? No wonder there is no end to the wide spread insecurity nation because they have sympathizers and sponsors in the government.

They have continued to free these terrorists in the name of being rehabilitated.

Nigerian government emboldened bokoharam with the ransom paid to release the girls they freed in 2016/2017 to make us believe they are working.

Nigeria is a failed state waiting to be divided.

Every tyrannical regime is premised on certain pillars from which it derive its oxygen. Sometimes, it is the religious Elites who make themselves available as a spiritual pillar to the evil regime. Other times, it is the traditional Elites. But since Africa became hopelessly addicted to religion, bad rulers now prefer having religious leaders as their main backer. Because the govt knows they control the people by virtue of their claim to hearing directly from God, the govt no longer bothers trying to gain the trust of the people. They simply find a way of controlling the religious men who control the people. If you want to truly fight any autocratic and murderous regime, just identify its pillars and fight them first.

In Buhari's murderous and terrorist friendly regime, Pastor Enoch Adeboye is the religious pillar. Adeboye is not alone. There is another yahoo yahoo pigeon man in Enugu who goes by the name - Mbaka. And there is another elderly clergy known as Kumuyi who once enjoined Nigerians never to criticize President Buhari. If you are looking for three religious dealers providing the spiritual oxygen for the sustainance of the Buhari regime, do not look beyond these three men. But Adeboye and Mbaka are the most visible. Of course, there are numerous Imams playing exactly the same role for the govt by brainwashing people in their mosque with the idiotic narrative that the insecurity in the North is a divine punishment from Allah for some unnamed sin.

It is not enough to bow to pressure and join the protest against insecurity, it is more important to do so HONESTLY and GENUINELY by blaming the security problem on the President and Commander-In-Chief just like the CAN President did today instead of hiding behind God to shield Buhari from blame. Let's face it, our Security challenges are man made. It is solely caused by President Muhammadu Buhari. When you are busy releasing arrested Boko Haram terrorists back into their business of terrorism and at the same time providing state cover for fulani terrorist herdsmen, HOW DO YOU EXPECT YOUR COUNTRY NOT TO BE BEDEEVILLED BY INSECURITY

Pastor Enoch Adeboye should stop that silly and deceptively hypocritical game of telling us that God is the only person that can solve the security challenges. God has nothing to do with this. Adeboye should, instead, talk to his friend, Buhari and advice him to stop brazenly and blatantly empowering Boko Haram by releasing arrested members of the group in the name of rehabilitation. Adeboye should prevail on Buhari to prosecute the Fulani terrorist herdsmen and label Miyetti Allah a terrorist organizations. There is no security problem we are facing that is not linked to either Boko Haram or the Fulani terrorist herdsmen. And THE BUHARI REGIME IS OPENLY IN BED WITH THESE TWO TERRORIST GROUPS. Is Adeboye not aware Why is he linking to God what is clearly Buhari's fault?

Sometimes, speaking truth works magic than insincere prayers aimed at deceiving the people. In the Biblical days of old, men of God were the conscience of the soceity. They feared no one. They spoke truth to power. When King David murdered Uriah and took his wife, prophet Nathan came straight to him and told him his evil to his face. Jeremiah was called the weeping Prophet for a reason. Elijah, Elisha and even John the Baptist nko? Those men spoke truth to power. Today, we have our own men of God who would rather tell us to pray to God to solve our Security problem because they are in some intercourse with the same govt directly responsible for the Security problem.

The same Bible Adeboye reads says in Psalm 31:8,

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed”

Where is Justice for Evangelist Eunice Elisha who was one of Adeboye's Pastor butchered right here on the street of Abuja for preaching in a street that houses a mosque with the Police releasing all those arrested for her murder?

Where is justice for Bridget Agbohime beheaded in Kano with the Kano state govt declaring that her killers have no case to answer, thus forcing the kano magistrate court to free those arrested for her murder.

As a stake holder in the Buhari govt, having 'donated' one of his Pastors as the VeePee, why didn't Adeboye insist on justice for the above victims since their killers are all known?? Of what use is his connection and frequent visit to Buhari of he can't use it to champion justice for victims of those religious killings??

See eh, we need to stop being foolish Christians who hand everything over to God because we are either too scared to talk to the govt enabling this killing or we are too compromised to care.

Buhari is doing exactly the job of an ethno-religious fundamentalist and that is why he remains popular amongst his fellow ethno-religious irredentists. Boko Haram is doing its own job of killing and maiming and beheading mainly people of opposite faith and moderate Muslims. The Fulani herdsmen are doing theirs. Everyone of them is protecting their constituency. People like Adeboye who are Christian leaders and are supposed to act like the good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep are doing exactly the opposite. Why?

In a situation where human lives are being wasted, you can't afford to be here and there at the same time. It is either you are with the people in which case, you will join them in calling on the Commander-In-Chief to stop empowering terrorists killing innocent people or you are on the side of the evil regime in which case, you will shy away from even mentioning the govt but be busy creating the devilish and misleading impression that the security breakdown is divinely inspired and would require divine intervention.

Enough of this deception, please!

The report, which focused on Zamfara, Katsina and Kaduna states, said a study of the weapons in use shows the violence is “perpetrated almost exclusively with small arms and light weapons”

But according to Buhari, the death of former Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi and influx of armed gunmen from the Sahel region was responsible for the influx of sophisticated weapons into this regions.

Confused man!
