The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said claims by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), that President Muhammadu Buhari is winning the war against insecurity is misleading and mere propaganda. The APC had in a statement on Monday, faulted criticisms directed against the President, saying it was confident President Muhammadu Buhari would end insecurity in the country.

But the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said on Monday night that the ruling party’s statement was an attempt to allegedly deny the reality on ground. “The APC are just misleading Nigerians and doing mere propaganda with their incredible claims. What is happening today is the worst we have ever experienced as a country.

“Nigerians are being abducted and beheaded in their own country. For us, this is the worst it can be. We have never had it this bad. “So, when they say the President is winning the war against insecurity, we would like them to provide an evidence-based response devoid of falsehood and propaganda.

“It will interest Nigerians to know that when PDP handed over power to the APC in 2015, no local government was under the control of Boko Haram. “Our government succeeded in chasing the terrorists to the fringes of Sambisa forest and was on the verge of pushing them out completely when we handed over.

“Today, every part of the country is under threat of men who behead for fun; a novelty hitherto unheard of in our country. So if they say they are winning the war, help us ask them this simple question: which war?” he said.

It is very visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that the APC fight against insecurity and corruption is just a hoax.... Only zombies believe their lies.

A government that has no vision nor direction and uses the failure of the last administration as a yardstick to measure their own ineptitude and underperformance.

Buhari promised zombies that he would end Boko Haram within 6 months if they vote for him.

Zombies elected Buhari, under Buhari's leadership we don't only have Boko Haram, we now have Bandits, Fulani jihadist herdsmen, kidnapping, ISWAP, and more terrorist groups are still coming up under Mr. Integrity

This govt lies a lot, engages in wicked propaganda, acts before thinking and generally is very incompetent. Before you comment on my post, I am not for APC or PDP but for good governance in Nigeria.

When failure is practical it becomes difficult to hide away from it either by denial or propaganda.

It is funny how a country elects an ethnic bigot, an extremist, and an Islamic fundamentalist, and expect that same person to provide security of lives and property.

Fulani herdsmen are the 4th deadliest terrorist group in the world. Rather than proscribe them, he wanted to give them RUGA.

Boko Haram terrorists will kill Nigerian soldiers and when they are captured, they are sent to rehabilitation camps and released back into society.

What is the justification for the widows of these soldiers whose husbands died at the hands of these terrorists?
It is a simple logic you cannot release a terrorist when the war on terror is still ongoing.

Just yesterday in the U.K.a released terrorist went on to commit more attacks before he was shot dead.

An unfeeling President. A President that is not in touch with the realities on ground. A President that actively seeks to push a fulani and islamic agenda.

Buhari is not only a catastrophic failure, he is a danger to the unity of this country.

If we are winning the war against insecurity, what led to the spike in killings in recent times? Truth is bitter. We cannot be deceived. We are not safe at all. Period. Amotekun should go round all regions for proper security.

The Boko haram insurgency can be evaluated using the following:

1. Frequency of attacks

2. Number of people killed

3. Number of territory under their control

4. Number of IDPs

Buhari's government has fought Boko haram better. Data on all four areas I listed are far better now than they were during the PDP days, and the fact that Boko haram even started and blossom under the PDP's watch is enough reason for Nigerians to collectively destroy the miserable party completely. They have no right to attack this government that is struggling to clean up all the heaps of trash they left behind.

Mean while, Buhari and his government need to do better on banditry, kidnapping and Fulani herdsmen rain of terror. He needs to lead the charge for the National Assembly to put security on the concurrent list so that governments at all level can provide security for the people!!!

Pdp is correct. Jonathan degraded bokoharam back to sambisa towards the end of his administration, it rose again briefly when Buhari took over and then was technically defeated according to the Govt despite sm major and minor attacks. We have a different kind of threat now. It’s not just bokoharam minor attacks bt bandits, criminals and ethnic/religious cleansing and threatening to overrun the country. That is serious.

And leave it for who? By the time you decide to come back to the land of your birth, perhaps, even your own village has been taken over by Fulani herdsmen and bandits.

No. We will defeat and overcome them in all their evil agenda to subjugate and turn us to slaves in our land of Nativity. We will not give in, and we will not give up!

Towards the end of his tenure, GEJ had the election postponed by six weeks, and flushed BH from their entrenched positions to the fringes of Sambisa.

That is the undiluted truth.

The problem of insecurity today has however, gone beyond BH. It is fueled more today by disunity, ethnic loyalties, distrust and a hopelessness in the country's future.

All these new threats, while already there earlier anyway, festered now because we have a divisive, nepotistic and bigoted President.

While I would not say he is a religious bigot, he is clearly an ethnic bigot. He also does not have any problem with advancing his political interests by the use of religious divide-and-rule, which gained him a cult following in the Muslim-dominated North.

There is no need pretending that Nigerians, including the leaders of APC, are just marking time, and waiting for 2023 for the work of national rebuilding to resume.

We all know that.
