President Muhammadu Buhari has officially presented to the public the Nigeria Visa Policy (NVP) for the year 2020.

He presented the document at the State House in Abuja, on Tuesday. The document is a revised version.

President Buhari said the review of the visa policy is intended to attract innovation, specialised skills and knowledge from abroad to complement local ones.

The 2020 visa policy is to enhance business opportunities and achieve African integration through the visas on arrival for holders of passports of African Union countries.

There are 79 visa classifications in the revised policy, one of which is the Visa on arrival.

The revised policy is a sequel to Buhari’s pronouncements in November 2019 that a new policy of visas on arrival would be granted to all African travellers starting from January 2020.

The new policy favours Africans with a valid passport who wish to come into the country for a short visit, for businesses and for tourism, as the Visa grants them legal stay for up to 90 days.

Who could've believe APC or Buhari will be under this kind of attack after all the noise in 2015 campaign

I think people should start Playing all the Video footage for them In all our Media Houses. Maybe that will be enough to convince them they have failed.

The reason they're still making noise I'm sure is because they haven't visited any of those videos footage.

The condition for obtaining a Nigerian Visa was never difficult, almost anyone planning to visit Nigeria will be granted visa.
This move sets a dangerous precedent.

Well looking at the positive side of this tale, one would not only be happy but also satisfied that there will be more influx of foreign chicks to explore which will give us a change in taste of the local ones in this ever volatile economy. cool

On another note, one of the downsides of these proposed visa policies is that it would allow the floodgate of unknown elements with intentions to bastardize the country, with our already booming population, unemployment, security challenges and other evils and monsters breeding its ugly head in Nigeria and lack of government care and support. We have had enough. I foresee doom on this upcoming policy bcuz Nigeria would serve as a dumping ground for incompetency. What we need is a reformed visa policy like that of the west that can serve the generality of the masses. wink
