I came back from the office this evening and saw this green serpent hanging loosely on a tree in my house. I quickly smashed it with a stick.

It seems to resemble the usual green grass snake which I searched on google and found out it is a non-venomous snake.

Garten snake.

I don't think it is a garter snake. The garter snake is a North American snake?

One of the fastest snakes I have ever come across.

It's of two types @OP, one is venomous and the other isn't. They're usually seen hunting rats in people's houses
